We can plan for everything, but we can't control the weather!

We will communicate with the parents with as much anticipation as possible, please keep an eye on the forecast and your phones for any updates.  On ocassion, if the weather turns we might need you to pick up your players early.

Guidelines for cancelling outdoor practice due to extreme weather conditions should prioritize the health and safety of the players.

These are our guidelines:

Hot Weather Guidelines:

  • Cancel practice if the temperature exceeds 95°F (35°C) or the heat index exceeds 100°F (38°C).
  • Modify practice with frequent breaks and hydration if the temperature is between 85°F (29°C) and 95°F (35°C) or the heat index is between 90°F (32°C) and 100°F (38°C).

Cold Weather Guidelines:

  • Cancel practice if the temperature is below 32°F (0°C) with a wind chill making it feel below 20°F (-6°C).
  • Modify practice if the temperature is between 32°F (0°C) and 40°F (4°C) with a wind chill making it feel between 20°F (-6°C) and 32°F (0°C).
